Therapy
Many people ask me what do therapy sessions entail. Well, during therapy sessions the client and the therapist work collaboratively to address, treat and overcome mental and emotional issues.
People believe that it is the events that happen in their lives that determine the way they feel; however, it is the way they perceive the events that sets the mood and creates the thoughts that arise, which as a result affect the feelings. Specifically, our thoughts, which are constant, give suggestions that impact and sway our moods. Thus, by altering the way people perceive the events in their lives, they change the way they feel. As thoughts come and go very quickly, we tend to forget them and as a result we do not pay close attention to what kind of thoughts we have.
My approach utilizes techniques that address and alter the way people feel, think and behave, in a more positive way, without ruminating in the past. You cannot change the past; however, you can change the way you perceive and respond to events related to the past, the present and the future.
